We are making it easy for you to make the switch to Peoples State Bank. Eliminate the hassle of switching banks, by following the simple steps below.

Complete the New Account Application online or stop by one of our convenient locations to open your new Peoples State Bank account.
Stop using your old checking account. But keep it open until all of your checks have cleared to avoid returned checks.
Select and print the appropriate notification letters below. Send these letters to your old bank after you have filled them out.
Come in to one of our locations to complete the switch. We will help you finish up the necessary paperwork and setup your new Peoples State Bank account.

To get started setting up your account, fill out our online New Account Application. A Peoples State Bank Customer Service Representative will contact you soon after to help you finish setting up your account.
Let your current bank know that you are closing your account.
After your new account is open, you will receive a few checks to use until your permanent checks arrive (as early as next day up to 10 days depending on style).
If you request a Photo Debit Card, it will be ordered along with your PIN. Those items will be mailed separately, but directly to you within 7-10 days.
Stop using your old checking account, but keep it open until all your checks have cleared to avoid returned checks.
Confirm that your direct deposit has been updated with your new Peoples State Bank routing and account number as well as any automatic debits/payments have your new account number. We can assist you with this if you need help.
Authorize Peoples State Bank as your new bank for direct deposits, automatic transfers and automatic payments.
Bring your old checks, deposit slips, Debit/ATM cards in and we will destroy them for you.
