Be aware that check companies in the newspaper or some internet sites are not like ordering checks from the bank. Yes, they can be less expensive, but you are also giving all your information to a company you know nothing about. It is all about protecting your identity, not saving money.

I wouldn't personally order from these companies because I don't know what they do with my information once my checks are printed. How long do they keep it? Do they sell it to another company? Is it thrown in the trash for anyone to find? What about my account number - what happens to it?
