The Joy of Christmastime
A message from President and CEO John J. Blake III
During this special time of year, we pause to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmastime is the perfect time to pause and give thanks for all the many blessings we have received throughout the year.
Christmastime brings forth the blessings of having an abundance of food on the table and the joy of fellowship and exchanging gifts with family and friends. For some, though, the holiday season is overshadowed by the reality of not having enough food to survive or not having the money to buy toys and clothing for children. For that reason, everyone should take part in giving to those in need by donating food, clothing, and toys to a local organization that provides for those in need. By giving, we can all take part in ensuring the holidays are a time of merriment for every child and family.
Here are some suggestions as to how you can experience the wonderful joy of giving locally in Sabine Parish. Whether you bank with us in Texarkana, Texas or Alexandria, Louisiana—you do not have to look far to find a worthy cause.

Not all of these require an investment of money—some just require your time and willingness. Also, let us not forget those in retirement homes in our communities. Consider sharing the joy of friendship with those individuals who may be facing the holidays alone, such as an elderly person or someone without family. In addition, let us continue to remember in prayer our young service men and women who so bravely serve in the military protecting our precious freedoms. Our hearts go out to those serving in foreign lands during the holidays.
Finally, let me express my sincere appreciation for your patronage. I realize you chose where you bank. Whether large or small, I truly thank you for your business. I would like to wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving and a Very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
Sincerely,

John J. Blake, III
